  • To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve our content.
  • To measure our advertising and show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram.
  • To protect the site and our forms from spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

For visitors in the European Economic Area and the UK, we use your information on these legal grounds: your consent (for the newsletter, and for analytics and advertising cookies where consent is required); our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the site; steps taken at your request before a contract (when you ask about our services); and legal obligations.

Our site links to YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other websites. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

12. Google user data (DGT Local app)

We run a private reporting tool called “DGT Local”. It connects to Google APIs only with the Google account of the Digital Growth Tutor owner. It is not offered to other users.

  • What it accesses: read-only data from our own YouTube channel (video details, views, watch time, traffic sources, subscriber counts) through the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API, and read-only search performance data for digitalgrowthtutor.com (search queries, pages, clicks, impressions, average position) through the Google Search Console API.
  • Why: only to analyse the performance of our own channel and website, and to plan content.
  • Storage: the data and access tokens are stored only on the owner’s own computer. They are not uploaded to any server or database.
  • Sharing: Google user data is never sold, and never shared with third parties or used for advertising.
  • No changes: the tool cannot upload, edit or delete anything on YouTube or Search Console.
  • Revoking access: access can be removed at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When access is revoked, the locally stored data is deleted on request.

Digital Growth Tutor’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
